3rd Annual Oklahoma Unity Mixer: Co-Executive Directors Announcement

First and foremost, we would like to say thank you to all those who applied for the Executive Director role for the 3rd Annual Oklahoma Unity Mixer (OUM). Since the creation of OUM, we have made tremendous progress in our community. We have made bonds across the state and region that will potentially last a lifetime. We could not have done this without the support of our friends, family, directors, staff, and sponsors. Our dream is for this momentum to continue and allow us to provide a safe environment for self-development and further build the networks within our community. We are ecstatic to see our family grow into future leaders and professionals that will have positive impacts on the world around us.

The process of selecting the Executive Director(s) has three phases: the Application, the Interview, and the Discussion. Upon interviewing the candidates for the next OUM Executive Director(s) position, the current Board of Advisers, Tue “Tommy” Dinh and Ty Pfeiffer, thoroughly discussed the candidates’ qualifications and analyzed the possible outcomes that would push OUM to the next level of excellence within Oklahoma. As leaders, we constantly face difficult decisions when it comes to what is best for the community. We work in order to create a hub that helps not only the individual but also the community at large. We are so grateful to have received such qualified candidates for this position. Not only are they qualified, they are passionate in wanting to create more opportunities for Oklahoma and UVSA South.

After these three phases, we are happy to present the Co-Executive Directors for the 3rd Annual Oklahoma Unity Mixer. These two exceptional leaders have continued to challenge themselves and have the drive to continue the vision of OUM. There is no doubt that they will push themselves to their limits to exceed what is expected of them in becoming the next Co-EDs. They both have positive and unique qualities that we believe will enhance the experience for the next OUM staff and attendees.

Without further ado, please join us as we congratulate Lillian Trinh (OU Letters Constitutional Studies / Pre-Law Major) and Steven Tran (UCO Alumni–B.A. in Psychology) in becoming the Co-Executive Directors for the 3rd Annual Oklahoma Unity Mixer!

Sincerely,
Your Board of Advisers
